Mike Flanagan entered into an exclusive overall deal with Amazon Studios in 2023 for television projects (after a similar exclusive deal with Netflix lasted from 2018-2022), and has produced feature films for Warner Bros., Universal Pictures, and Netflix, among others.

He is best known for his work in horror films and television series, which has attracted the praise of critics for his focus on character and lack of reliance on jump scares. Stephen King, Quentin Tarantino, and William Friedkin, among others, have praised him.

Alexandra Magistro is a writer, director and producer with a background in horror. She has worked alongside Mike Flanagan for over half a decade on a variety of series and features.  After recently wrapping CARRIE for Amazon, a show on which she served as both a writer and producer, she is now Executive Producing The Exorcist for Blumhouse, Morgan Creek and Universal. Previously she served as an Associate Producer on The Fall of the House of Usher and The Life of Chuck.   

Magistro debuted her first short film,Love You, Mama, starring Samantha Sloyan, Madeleine Arthur and Matt Biedel at the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans, where it earned second place for the Audience Award for Best Short. During its festival run, the film was selected by several key genre festivals, most notably Fantasia Film Festival, FrightFest UK, and Vancouver Horror Show, where the short was nominated in seven categories and won for Best Short Film and Best Supporting Performance.

Ilia Borodine is a director, cinematographer, and editor based in Vancouver, Canada. A graduate of Vancouver Film School and recipient of the Kevin Smith Scholarship, Ilia’s graduate film, I Can See You, was nominated as best student film at New Creator Film Awards. After film school, Ilia built a diverse early career directing, editing, and shooting commercials, short films, and music videos while also working as an assistant editor at a post-production house.

His most recent project as a cinematographer, Renter’s Void, received awards at both the Sci-Fi Horror Short Film Festival and the Lift-Off Austin Film Festival. In 2022, Ilia began working with Mike Flanagan on the Netflix miniseries The Fall of the House of Usher. He later joined Flanagan’s adaptation of Carrie for Amazon and is now working full time for Red Room Pictures.
